There are several methods for rigging Catfish Noodles. Varying bodies of water (Lake, River, Pond, Stream, etc.) have different noodle rigging styles best suited for catching catfish. Here at Catfish Noodles, LLC. we spend the majority of our time fishing and filming on the beautiful lakes of Virginia. Below is the best way to rig Catfish Noodles for lake fishing.  Also see our lake rigging instructions video here

Catfish RiggingMaterials Needed: Catfish Noodle

Fishing Line (20lbs. – 30lbs. preferred)

Egg Sinker (1/2oz. to 3/4oz. preferred)

Barrel Swivel (size 10 or bigger preferred)

Hook (2/0 Circle Hook preferred)

Step 1: You will need to determine what depth you want to fish and how deep you will want your bait to be presented. Once you have determined the desired depth, roll out the proper amount of line from the spool of fishing line, adding 6 to 12 inches for tying your fishing knots. Cut the line from the spool.

Step 2: Once the line has been cut from the spool, cut two (2) feet from the tag end off of the main line and place to the side. Do not discard as this will be needed for the liter end of the rig.
